Matthew Funderburk

Matthew Funderburk is an associate attorney at The Morgan Law Group where he concentrates his practice on representing plaintiffs in first-party property disputes against insurance companies and other areas of civil litigation.

Matthew Funderburk was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. He attended the University of Florida and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology. After graduating, he found his passion for law while working as a paralegal for a family law and business litigation firm. As a result, he moved to Orlando and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law.

After graduating law school, he served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Appellate Division in the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida representing indigent clients accused of criminal offenses. While handling appeals, Mr. Funderburk argued multiple times in the Florida Supreme Court and acquired decisions that impacted the law in the State of Florida.

Prior to joining the team at The Morgan Law Group, Mr. Funderburk worked in Orlando, Florida representing plaintiffs in first-party property disputes against insurance companies. He is now dedicated to this area of the law and presently focuses the majority of his practice to prosecuting homeowners’ claims against residential and commercial insurance companies.
