Melida Ortega

Melida Ortega is an associate attorney at The Morgan Law Group where she represents plaintiffs in first-party property disputes against insurance companies.

Ms. Ortega was born and raised in Miami, Florida and is the daughter to two Nicaraguan immigrants. Ms. Ortega obtained her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida International University. Thereafter, Ms. Ortega went on to attend Law School at Florida International University College of Law.

While in law school Ms. Ortega was a member of Law Review, a position that only the top 10% of the class are eligible to apply for. Additionally, Ms. Ortega interned for the Broward County and Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Office.

Prior to joining the Morgan Law Group, Ms. Ortega worked as a Public Defender and as a Family Law Attorney. Ms. Ortega has extensive courtroom experience and is a passionate advocate for her clients. In her spare time, Ms. Ortega enjoys spending time with her siblings, kayaking, and collecting records for her record player.
