Syead Owoyemi

Syead was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As a first generation Nigerian American, Syead saw firsthand the disparities faced in his community. This experience sparked his interest to advocate for those in need.

Syead attended the University of Houston, where he earned his degree in Political Science. During his time there, he joined Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., which played a significant role in sharpening his leadership qualities and further fueling his desire to advocate for his community.

Syead then attended the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, actively engaging in various organizations such as the Black Law Student Association and the African Law Student Association. Demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, he held significant positions within these organizations. Syead’s dedication and involvement contributed to his successful graduation with honors in 2019, marking a significant milestone in his legal education.

Drawing from his academic accomplishments, Syead acquired valuable experience at the largest plaintiff personal injury firm in Texas. It was here that he honed his skills in client advocacy and negotiation. Through his unwavering commitment, Syead ensured that his clients received diligent representation and achieved the highest possible compensation.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Syead finds fulfillment in traveling, sports, and sharing his culinary creations with friends. As the owner of Sticky Eatz Catering Co. in Houston, he not only indulges his passion for cooking but also funded his law school journey through this venture.
