Before joining The Morgan Law Group, Tanner gained invaluable experience in various legal fields, including personal injury law, commercial litigation, and criminal defense. He began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Nashville, where he passionately defended individuals who could not afford private representation, often advocating for justice in challenging and high-stakes cases.

In addition to his legal career, Tanner has a rich professional background that reflects his commitment to serving his community. He is a former public school teacher, having taught in Metro-Nashville and Rutherford County schools, where he inspired students and developed a deep appreciation for education. His passion for mentorship extends beyond the classroom, as he has also served as a middle-school football coach, instilling values of teamwork and perseverance in his players.

Tanner’s dedication to family and community shines through in his personal life. A proud father of three children and owner of two energetic dogs, he spends his free time balancing the demands of parenthood with his commitment to staying active. Whether wrangling his kids or training for his next half-marathon, Tanner embraces life with enthusiasm and determination. He also coaches his son’s baseball and flag football teams, further fostering his love for mentorship and youth development.

Tanner is a native of Jackson, Tennessee, and holds a law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School. He is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association, including the Young Lawyers Division of the NBA, where he collaborates with fellow professionals to advance the legal community.
