Charles Gowland

Charles Gowland is the Managing Attorney in the firm’s Louisiana office and is licensed in North Carolina as well. He focuses his practice on first-party property insurance litigation, including commercial and residential property claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Charles spent more than 25 years in various roles relating to insurance claims and litigation, with a particular focus on property insurance. He previously served as Vice President and General Counsel for the Claims Department of a national insurance company overseeing all P&C claims litigation for the entire country, and as Chief Counsel to the Division of Insurance Fraud for the State of Florida’s Department of Financial Services.

He has also worked for several years at law firms both defending insurance companies and, for the past 4 years, assisting homeowners and commercial property owners in their first-party claims against insurance companies.
